The YouthBuild Little Rock program hosted its 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive at the Little Rock Workforce Center (LRWFC). YouthBuild participants collected canned goods and non-perishable items to deliver to the Watershed Human and Community Development Center.
Members of the YouthBuild Leadership Council coordinated the food drive with input from their peers. Morgan Smithson, a YouthBuild student, designed the event flyer. Justin Stuart served as the contact for information about food collection efforts.
Students delivered the items to the Watershed Center on November 21, 2017; they also served as volunteers for Watershed’s annual Thanksgiving event.
The food drive, along with other community development opportunities, allows YouthBuild participants to sow positive seeds in their own lives and in the lives of others during the holiday season.
