The Little Rock Workforce Development Board (LWDB) is established in compliance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 and the Arkansas Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2015.
LRWDB members include local representatives of business, workforce, education and training, government, economic, and community development entities as well as representatives of other entities that the mayor may determine to be appropriate.
The Board, in conjunction with the mayor, is tasked with developing and submitting a comprehensive Four Year Local Plan to the governor that meets the requirements in the Arkansas Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, including analyses of the economic conditions, knowledge and skill gaps, and workforce development activities for the region.
