The Rock City Reentry Program (RCRP) is intended to help 100 participants benefit from Reentry programming services while incarcerated at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility. The Little Rock Workforce Development Board (LRWDB) and Equus Workforce Solutions are proud to partner with this program, which continues to promote positive experiences that lead to success! This is Thomas’ Story.
Dedicated to turning his life around while incarcerated, Thomas intently focused on completing the Rock City Reentry Program. Rock City Reentry was the catalyst for Thomas’ success. This comprehensive set of courses and supportive services help facilitate recovery and one’s introduction back into the community. After achieving this goal, Thomas successfully transitioned to inpatient treatment through the Pulaski County Drug Court.
Thomas graduated from Drug Court in March 2024 while celebrating nearly two years of sobriety, all while running his own landscaping business and excelling as a full-time accounting student at the University of Arkansas at Pulaski Tech.
“We are so proud of him because he has worked so hard to be the best version of himself and without hesitation helps others around him,” notes Courtney Darrow, Reentry Program Manager. “Keep shining bright, Thomas!”
A recent motorcycle accident has left Thomas a bit bruised, but not broken. He remains upbeat with a sense of humor, grateful for the small things in life. “I’m confident I can do this.”
