Each month, we focus on:
1st Tuesday:
The 1st Tuesday of each month is designed to inform youth job seekers, ages 14 to 24, to take advantage of an array of WIOA Youth services including, but not limited to paid work experience, occupational skills training, leadership development activities, and comprehensive guidance.
2nd Tuesday:
The 2nd Tuesday of each month with focus on the Rock City Reentry Program for youth. The program is to assist men and women in stabilizing their lives once they are released from incarceration. You must be 18 to 24 years of age and currently on parole or probation. Or, if you are not on parole or probation, you have been released within the last 180 days. You live in Little Rock or North Little Rock. Other areas may be considered. Industries of focus for employment or training include CDL, Culinary, Retail, Forklift or Welding credentials. Participants who complete the reentry program are provided with the job skills that are necessary for gainful employment.
3rd Tuesday:
The 3rd Tuesday of each month is designed for on-line training through a series of job readiness topics such as Customer Service with a Heart, The Academy/Career Personality Assessments, Dress for Success, Professionalism in a Virtual Setting, Interview Skills, Resume and Cover Letters.
4th Tuesday:
The 4th Tuesday of each month will focus on pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship opportunities with Diamond State Vocational School for In-School Youth and Out-of-School youth for ages 16-21 and ages 18-24. Trades in HVACR, Plumbing, Electrical, and Roofing will be of focus.
5th Tuesday:
The 5th Tuesday of each month is designed to prepare adult job seekers and dislocated workers for the job market! Learn how we can assist with job searches, career exploration, occupation skills training, and on-the-job training.
