On March 11, 2016, St. Vincent Hospital held an appreciation event for Medlinc’s most recent graduating class of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) The Little Rock Workforce Development Board’s Executive Director, W. J. Monagle, was in attendance. The event also offered each of the CNA graduates the opportunity to apply for patient care technician positions at St. Vincent Hospital.
A previous CNA graduation was held at the LRSD Metropolitan Career & Technical Academy. Both classes were trained by the LRWDB’s partner, MedLinc, Inc.
Graduation events like these represent significant career milestones for job seekers in the healthcare sector. As part of the nursing care team, a CNA works under the direction of a licensed nurse to perform basic patient care activities. A CNA is a leading healthcare profession with excellent projected continued job growth. The CNA role is also a great stepping stone to obtain a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
