On January 1, 2019 Frank Scott Jr. was sworn in as the Mayor of Little Rock and, therefore, the Chief Elected Official (CEO) of the Little Rock Workforce Development Board (LRWDB). LRWDB Chair, Bryan Day, is reaching out to Mayor Scott and his transition team for an introductory meeting.
Mayor Scott is the first popularly-elected African American mayor of Little Rock. He succeeds outgoing Mayor Mark Stodola. Scott was as an adviser to former Governor Mike Beebe and served on the state Highway Commission.
LRWDB board members and staff welcome the opportunity to make continued progress on workforce development issues under Mayor Scott’s leadership.
