The Little Rock Workforce Development (LRWDB) celebrates the recent Deaf History Month event that was held at the Arkansas Capitol!
The Arkansas House of Representatives passed a resolution to proclaim April as Deaf History Month in the state. The state designation mirrors the National Association of the Deaf’s (NAD) announcement of National Deaf History Month, taking place April 1st through April 30th.
Legislators, students, and other supporters gathered for photos, including one where each individual is signing “I love you.”
Deaf History Month celebrates the history of deaf culture and the many achievements made by individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
