…and the HRMA Oscar for Organization of the Year goes to the Little Rock Workforce Development Board!
The LRWDB received this prestigious award at the Human Resource Management Association of Arkansas’ (HRMA) third annual Oscars of Leadership Development event on March 1, 2018. The Organization of the Year Award recognizes an organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the field of Human Resources, demonstrated extraordinary support and leadership within the field, and supported significant programs or projects benefiting HRMA.
As a leading workforce development organization, the LRWDB was recognized for its work to make a difference by putting people to work and bringing jobs to Arkansas. The LRWDB is also a long standing partner of HRMA. The LRWDB has involved HRMA volunteers in the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and sponsored multiple Human Resource events and learning experiences. The LRWDB’s Executive Director, W. J. Monagle, has spoken at HRMA luncheon meetings and serves on the advisory board for HRMA’s Advanced Manufacturing Initiative.
Award winners were also announced in three other categories. Edith Luff with Robert Half was named HRMA’s Rising Star. Amanda Stanisor with Land O’ Frost received the award for Community Outreach. Karen Light with Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority was recognized as Distinguished Member of the Year.
