On October 19 and November 9, 2017 the Little Rock Workforce Development Board’s (LRWDB) Executive Director, W. J. Monagle, met with members of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition to plan the annual “Super Saturday” free tax-filing event.
The 2018 Super Saturday event will be held on February 3 at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds. The theme for the 2018 event will be “Trabajando Juntos en la Comunidad” (Working Together in the Community) and is part of a larger Little Rock effort to reach out to the growing Latino community. In build-up to the “Super Saturday” event, volunteers from the Working Together in the Community coalition will also hold a Spanish-language income tax filing informational meeting on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Southwest Little Rock Recreation & Community Center located at 6401 Baseline Rd.
Little Rock residents can receive free tax return assistance at this annual event, which takes place the Saturday before the Super Bowl. Additional details will be available as the event date draws closer.
The EITC Coalition includes the City of Little Rock, the Arkansas Workforce Development Board, Entergy Arkansas, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Central Arkansas Development Council, among others.
