On June 26, 2018 several members of the Little Rock Workforce Development Board (LRWDB) delivered a panel presentation to the National League of Cities’ Human Development Committee. Executive Director, W. J. Monagle, and members, Kristi Barr, Bryan Day and Cindy Varner, discussed current workforce challenges in Little Rock.
During the week of June 25, more than 300 officials from 39 states convened in Little Rock for the National League of Cities (NLC) Summer Board and Leadership Meeting and NLC University Leadership Forum. NLC President and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola, indicated that the meeting was intended to “chart a path forward on the biggest issues facing America’s cities.”
