The Little Rock Workforce Development Board (LRWDB) congratulates all who graduated from the Future Fit program on October 18 2024, including:
Brandy Barnes, Lamar Chavis, Colton Dennis, Daniel Grandon, Harold Kettle, Winfred Lavelle, Jamie Norman, Devante Smith, Adam Stripling, Shane Timmons, and Kevin Webb.
LRWDB Executive Director, W. J. Monagle, was in attendance to support FutureFit graduates at the ceremony held at University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College.
The Future Fit program equips participants with skills such as understanding blueprints, machine operations, safety and OSHA certifications and interpersonal skills. It was developed by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission in partnership with local manufacturers. Certification is received before release which allows each participant to easily apply for local jobs with skills and certification that will increase employability.
The Rock City Reentry Program’s Pathway Home 3 initiative is intended to help 100 participants benefit from Reentry programming services and the Future Fit program (or another similar accredited program) while incarcerated at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.
